image Fire displaces 9 in Lehighton


submitted-photo-fire-and-film-lehighton-copyEmergency responders from multiple communities were dispatched to a working structure fire at 256 North 2nd Street around 8 a.m. this morning in Lehighton.
No injuries were reported as of noon.
This is the same apartment building that caught fire late last night.
Temperatures last night and this morning ranged between 3 and 14 degrees.
The Red Cross is helping nine people that have been displaced.
On scene were firefighters and other emergency responders from Carbon and Schuylkill County communities.
Also, assisting were American Red Cross, Tamaqua Salvation Army, Lehigh and Lausanne Rehab Team, North Penn / Souderton Goodwill Service and area churches.
Both McDonalds and Dunkin Donuts in Lehighton gave donations of warm food and refreshments. Click HERE for all who helped. Photos:
