Hope's Towing and Collision Helps Deliver Holiday Hams for Salvation Army, Lehighton (28)
Hope’s Towing workers and volunteers with the Schuylkill Carbon Marine Corps League and Tamaqua Salvation Army unload three pallets of canned hams from the back of Hope’s flatbed during yesterday’s assistance distribution in Lehighton.

Hope’s Towing and Collision of Tamaqua donated their time and equipment to help Tamaqua Salvation Army volunteers transport just under 1,000 holiday hams from Boyers Food Market in Tamaqua to two assistance distribution sites in Schuylkill and Carbon county. The Tamaqua Salvation Army purchased the hams for Thursday’s Angel Tree, Toys For Tots and food distribution at the Tamaqua Salvation Army, and Saturday’s Toys For Tots and ham distribution at the Salem Bible Fellowship Church in Lehighton.
Prior, volunteers had to unload and load boxes into their own vehicles for transport between locations.
Major Sharon Whispell stated that Hope’s Towing is a regular supporter of the Tamaqua Salvation Army.
